Objectives
Galician Books wants to foster the international outreach of the Galician book market and expand the awareness and presence of Galician literature in Spain and in the rest of the world. In order to achieve that, this portal tries to create a form of direct communication between the Galician book industry and the world of Spanish-language publishing, with the intention of encouraging the publication of Spanish translations of works written in Galicia and increasing their presence in the Spanish-language literary market.This space also intends to present the various official organizations, institutions, companies and individual people who make up the Galician publishing realm and who represent the most solidly established cultural industry of Galicia. All activities and policies on the Galician literary market abroad shall have here their main means of dissemination.
The ultimate goal of Letters of Galicia is opening up the reality of Galicia to the world through one of its richest and most varied artistic expressions. Getting to know Galician literature means entering into an original, modern and independent culture which keeps evolving nurtured by its thousand years of history.
